Science & Gender Equity Program

The Science and Gender Equity Program (SAGE) has as its primary goal to improve the status of women in science and engineering. The strategies used to accomplish this include:

  • workshops on gender equity in the college and pre-college classroom are developed and presented to groups within and outside of the university;
  • interdisciplinary research in the sciences, social sciences, and the humanities and arts is encouraged by a small grants program. SAGE distributes the knowledge gained from this research in newsletters and reports.
